Hi, I'm Melissa.
If you've landed here, you've probably been thinking about a boudoir session for a while - maybe for a wedding, maybe an anniversary, maybe for no reason at all except that you want to. Wherever you are with it, I'm so glad you found me, and I'd love to make this easy for you.
I photograph boudoir from a private studio here in Greenville. It's just the two of us for the day, and my whole job is to handle the parts that make you nervous so you can enjoy the rest. You don't need to know how to pose. You don't need to have done anything like this before. Most of the women I work with haven't, and by the end of the afternoon they're having the best time.
Nearly twenty years of practice, in your corner
I've been a photographer for almost twenty years, and photographing boudoir since 2009. Before Greenville I built my work in Austin, shooting editorial and commercial projects for national brands. All of that comes with me into your session. It's the reason I can look at you and know exactly how to turn your chin, where to put your hands, and which light in the studio will do the most for you. You get to relax. I've got the technical part.
It's also why the images look the way they do: fine art, painted light, a finished quality you'll want to frame and keep for the rest of your life. This isn't a phone full of quick snaps. It's a real body of work, and it's made of you.
Photographed the way a woman sees you
Most boudoir is made with someone else in mind. Mine isn't. I photograph you through a woman's eyes, which is a softer and more generous way of seeing. Think of the difference between a stranger telling you that you look nice and a girlfriend grabbing your arm to tell you that you look incredible. One is polite. The other actually lands, because she means it and she notices the real things.

Lingerie in Greenville

A proper bra fitting before your session matters more than most clients expect, and a single visit to a fitter you trust is the most useful thing you can do to prepare.

The Reveal
A little while after your session, you'll come back to the studio, we'll pour a glass of wine, and you'll see your images together on a big screen for the first time. That's when you choose your favorites and design what you take home, whether that's an album, fine art prints, or a full collection. I keep this reveal in person because seeing yourself this way, all at once and larger than life, is a moment I don't want you having alone on your phone.
For the Bride
Bridal boudoir for your wedding day is a meaningful part of Privée's work. If you're a Greenville bride considering a session before your wedding, plan for at least six weeks between session day and finished work in hand - more if your album includes custom design choices.
Sessions can happen in my studio in Greenville or at a location of your choice. The conversation about which is the right fit for your timeline, your wedding, and the work you want is something we'll have together during your consultation.
The Studio
Privée's studio is in Greenville's Sterling neighborhood, just on the edge of downtown… a private space with beautiful natural light, multiple rooms to shoot in, dedicated styling and dressing areas, and the kind of quiet that this work asks for. Off-street parking, no street-side coordination, no signage. The exact address is shared the week of your session, after booking is complete; that privacy isn't a feature, it's the point.
A session runs two to three hours, with three to five looks. Hair and makeup styling are included on the upper collections. The full range of the work is customized during your consultation and planning meetings… so you are sure to be fully prepared on the day of your session.
