For the Asheville Client
Fine art boudoir photography, only an hour south of home.
For Asheville Ladies
Privée is a private studio in Greenville, South Carolina, dedicated entirely to fine art boudoir and intimate portraiture. The work is editorial in approach and built around you specifically… shaped through a series of planning calls before your session, so every detail is considered and nothing is left to the day. And because Greenville is only an hour from Asheville, the trip can be as simple as a quick day in and out, or if you'd rather… an overnight stay at one of the city's finest hotels.
Because why not spoil yourself a little more?
An easy day trip…
Greenville sits roughly an hour south on I-26. It's an easy, quiet drive with no real congestion, mountains for most of it, and a downtown that's worth the trip in its own right.
Most Asheville clients come down for the day. Hair and makeup, session, lunch on Main Street, home before dinner. There's no need to make a night of it unless that's what you'd prefer.
If you do want to stretch the trip into something more, below are my two favorite hotels in downtown Greenville.
The Grand Bohemian Lodge Greenville - newer to the city, designed with the same dramatic, art-forward sensibility as the Asheville flagship you already know. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops, and only a quick five minute drive to the studio.
The Westin Poinsett - the historic option, a 1925 Beaux-Arts hotel on Main Street that's been Greenville's landmark for nearly a century. Quieter than the Grand Bohemian, more classic in tone.
A booked room can also be the right answer for a different reason: hair and makeup, freshly done, doesn't have to come off the moment the camera is down. Whether that's a coda to the trip or the trip itself is up to you.
Lingerie in Asheville
In Asheville, Hello Gorgeous is the place to start. The fitters there know what they're doing, and a proper bra fitting before your session matters more than most clients expect — pieces that fit precisely photograph cleanly, and pieces that don't, don't. One visit, well in advance of your consultation, is the most useful thing you can do to prepare.
The detailed prep guide that arrives after booking covers wardrobe in full — what to consider, what to skip, what photographs particularly well. The foundation work is best handled in person, ahead of time, with someone who knows the room.
The Studio
Privée's studio is in Greenville's Sterling neighborhood, just on the edge of downtown… a private space with beautiful natural light, multiple rooms to shoot in, dedicated styling and dressing areas, and the kind of quiet that this work asks for. Off-street parking, no street-side coordination, no signage. The exact address is shared the week of your session, after booking is complete; that privacy isn't a feature, it's the point.
A session runs two to three hours, with three to five looks. Hair and makeup styling are included on the upper collections. The full range of the work is customized during your consultation and planning meetings… so you are sure to be fully prepared on the day of your session.
When you’re ready…
Asheville clients tend to book four to eight weeks ahead of their session. If you're working toward a wedding, an anniversary, or any specific date, plan further out — six weeks at minimum from session day to finished work in hand.
Inquiry is private. The consultation is unhurried. Investment details are shared once we've spoken.
