For the Charlotte Client

Fine art boudoir photography, two hours from home.

For Charlotte Ladies

Charlotte has photographers… we don’t pretend otherwise. What Privée offers is something different… a private studio, twenty years of editorial and portrait work behind the camera, and a session built around you from the consultation forward. For the client who has already considered the closer options and decided the work matters more than the proximity, the drive becomes part of what makes it.

Greenville sits roughly two hours southwest on I-85. It's an easy drive - straight highway, no real traffic to speak of outside of rush hour, and a city that's quietly become one of the most considered small downtowns in the Southeast. The trip can be a same-day in and out, or — for most clients — the better version: a night in town, dinner that you don't have to drive home from, and a session that doesn't end with a two-hour scrub of hair and makeup before bed.

A cityscape at sunset with a park in the foreground and buildings in the background, featuring a colorful sky with clouds and the sun setting.

Where to stay…

Two recommendations downtown, both within walking distance of restaurants and only a five or six minute drive to the studio.

The Grand Bohemian Lodge Greenville - newer to the city, designed with the same dramatic, art-forward sensibility as the original in Asheville. The kind of room that already feels like the right backdrop for the mood of the trip.

The Westin Poinsett - the historic option, a 1925 Beaux-Arts hotel on Main Street that's been Greenville's landmark for nearly a century. Quiet, considered, with a lobby that earns its reputation.

Airbnb is also worth a look. Charlotte clients sometimes find a beautiful space (a downtown loft, a restored historic home) that has the kind of light or interior detail that makes it interesting as an extension of the work itself. If you find one and want to talk through whether part of the session could happen there, that conversation is part of the consultation.

Lingerie in Charlotte

Wardrobe is yours to bring, and the place to start in Charlotte is I.C. London. It's the boutique that women who take this kind of session seriously already know - extensive selection, fitters who know what they're doing, and pieces made to fit a real woman rather than a hanger. Plan one visit there before your consultation and you'll have already done the most useful thing.

A proper bra fitting matters more than most people expect. The detailed prep guide that arrives after booking covers wardrobe in full - pieces to consider, what to skip, what photographs particularly well - but the foundation work is best handled in person, with someone who knows the room.

The Studio

Privée's studio is in Greenville's Sterling neighborhood, just on the edge of downtown… a private space with beautiful natural light, multiple rooms to shoot in, dedicated styling and dressing areas, and the kind of quiet that this work asks for. Off-street parking, no street-side coordination, no signage. The exact address is shared the week of your session, after booking is complete; that privacy isn't a feature, it's the point.

A session runs two to three hours, with three to five looks. Hair and makeup styling are included on the upper collections. The full range of the work is customized during your consultation and planning meetings… so you are sure to be fully prepared on the day of your session.

When you’re ready…

Charlotte clients tend to book four to eight weeks ahead of their session. If you're working toward a wedding, an anniversary, or any specific date, plan further out - six weeks at minimum from session day to finished work in hand.

Inquiry is private. The consultation is unhurried. Investment details are shared once we've spoken.
